1. Scope

This Policy explains how the TutorDay mobile application (package identifier online.alpsproject.tutorday) handles information. TutorDay is published by HORIS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED under the Google Play developer name Alps project.

TutorDay is a planner for adult independent tutors, trainers, and instructors. It does not require a TutorDay account. Core features operate locally without an internet connection.

2. Data handled by TutorDay

You choose what information to enter. Depending on your use, it may include:

  • student names and group names;
  • phone numbers, Telegram usernames, and other work contact details;
  • lesson dates, times, duration, and status;
  • notes, prices, and lesson payment records you choose to maintain;
  • application preferences;
  • files you import or export; and
  • TutorDay Pro purchase information supplied by Google Play.

We do not request access to your device address book, location, microphone, photos, or videos. TutorDay does not collect an advertising identifier and has no built-in behavioural analytics.

3. Local storage and Android backup

Schedules, students, groups, notes, and preferences are stored by default in TutorDay's private storage on your device. The developer does not receive them on its own server.

Android or your device manufacturer may include app data in a system backup according to your device and Google Account settings. You can manage this in Android backup settings.

4. Camera and QR-code scanning

Camera permission is used only when you ask TutorDay to scan a supported QR code for data transfer. Frames are processed on the device, are not saved as photographs, and are not sent to the developer or Google Drive.

5. Optional Google Drive synchronisation

If you voluntarily connect Google Drive, TutorDay uses the limited drive.appdata permission for its hidden app-data folder in your Drive. The app does not request access to all files in Google Drive.

  • Data snapshots travel directly between your devices and Google Drive through Google's API.
  • The developer does not operate a server that receives snapshot contents.
  • Google OAuth tokens are kept in protected application storage on the device.
  • Drive connection is optional; other features continue to work without it.

Use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's policies and terms. Disconnecting Drive stops future synchronisation but may not by itself delete snapshots already stored there.

6. Import, export, and external actions

When importing, TutorDay reads only the file you select. When exporting, you choose the destination app or location; the selected service controls its copy after transfer.

Call, SMS, Telegram, WhatsApp, and system Share actions open the relevant external application with information you select. TutorDay does not automatically send a message, read conversations, or receive the result. The selected service then handles information under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Google Play purchases

The one-time TutorDay Pro purchase is processed by Google Play. Google handles payment credentials; TutorDay neither receives nor stores them. The app receives only information needed to verify and restore the purchase, such as product identifier, purchase token, time, and status.

8. Notifications

TutorDay schedules local lesson reminders. Notification text is created from information on your device. You can disable notifications in TutorDay or Android settings.

9. Sharing, sale, advertising, and analytics

We do not sell personal data, disclose it to advertising networks, or use it for personalised advertising. TutorDay contains no ads or third-party behavioural analytics. Information is sent to an external service only when you direct the app to do so (for example, Drive sync, export, or messaging) or when required by law.

10. Retention and deletion

Local information remains until you delete individual records, clear app data, or uninstall TutorDay. You must remove exported files at their destination. Hidden Drive data remains until you delete it through Google Drive settings.

Because TutorDay creates no account and the developer stores no app database on its server, there is no separate TutorDay account-deletion request. Step-by-step instructions are on the Data deletion page.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards, including private Android storage and protected OAuth-token storage. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device with a screen lock and install updates.

12. Children and student information

TutorDay is intended for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. An adult user may store work information about a student who is a minor. In that case, the user is responsible for having a lawful basis, limiting information to what is necessary, keeping it accurate, and deleting it when no longer needed.

13. International processing

When you use Google Play, Google Drive, messaging apps, or other selected services, information may be processed in countries other than your own. Such processing is governed by the relevant provider's terms and applicable law.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when features or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. We will provide an appropriate notice of material changes.
